Spirits of...team
with John Zaffis in the Phoenix Mid-City Hotel
The Spirits of...Tours historic Bloomington haunted tour was created in the winter of 2007. The original tour manuscript took over three months to write, using over fifty references and countless personal interviews. We wanted to create an accurate account of Bloomington history while revealing fascinating tales, myths and paranormal accounts of the area.
Chis Hotz (Abraham Lincoln/Franky) and his wife Rose (graphic designer) have lived in the Bloomington area since 2006. They are the owners and innkeepers of the Davis Rose Inn Bed & Breakfast.
Tom Senger (Retail/Tour Operations)
and his wife Deborah (Mary Todd Lincoln/Sally) are recent transplants to
the area. Deborah is an Historic & Spiritual Medium, Certified Paranormal
Investigator and Parapsychologist. She balances her serious metaphysical
practice with the lightness and discovery of the Spirits of Bloomington
Tours.

Together, Chris, Deborah, Rose and
Tom created the Abe on 66 Gift Store
& the Spirits of Bloomington Tours. Their love for the town of Bloomington,
the history that is Bloomington and their desire to encourage new tourist
and fun activities in the historic downtown is what drives the success
of this unique team.
We welcome you to the Spirits of...Tours and hope you will enjoy our walking tours. Our goal is to integrate the historical aspects, paranormal activity and myths of Bloomington, Lincoln IL and other Central Illinois communities to provide an entertaining evening for all. |
I did not know or think to bring a camera with me. The people on the tour with digital cameras were picking up a lot of activity in the way of light orbs, which can be seen below. The tour was a lot of fun, and it's something new and different to do on a Saturday night. Luckily for us, the weather was gorgeous and the bugs aren't awful yet. I recommend going soon and taking a camera!"
